Many of these golf courses are within an hour's radius drive from the Cutty Sark Hotel, with the nearest being Scottburgh Golf Course, a pristine 18 hole course which stretches along the coastline of Scottburgh...
• CrocWorld Crocodile Farm & Petting Zoo: Recently upgraded and renovated, CrocWorld is a "must see" for all ages. This fantastic park offers daily tours where visitors can learn about and experience the wonder of the crocodiles during feeding times... With the many animals, birds and reptiles exhibeted in the park, a fabulous restaurant - the Crocodilian - which overlooks the park and a lovely curio shop; a visit to CrocWorld is offers a day of adventure for the whole family.
• Shopping Centres: Scottburgh houses a small shopping centre with many necessity and curio shops, as well as restaurants / bars and a gym. Amanzimtoti has 3 large shopping centres, the biggest being Galleriea where you will find shops, restaurants / bars, go-cart racing, ice-skating, 10 pin bowling and more... Many shopping centres can be found in Durban - the largest of these is Gateway in Umhlanga which is known as the largest shopping center in Southern Africa... Margate, further down the coast from us, is a shopping hub of it's own with many shopping centres in the small city.
• Game / Nature ReservesL The surrounding area has serveral nature reserves, the closest being TC Robertson which is wonderful for liesurely nature walks and bird watching. Vernon Crookes Nature Reserve, a 20 minute drive from the hotel, has a variety of wildlife which can be seen including Giraffe, Zebra and Buck
• Oribi Gorge: A magnificent nature reserve offering big game tours, 4x4 trails, abseiling, the famed "Oribi Gorge Swing", a 160m high "foefie" slide, white river rafting and much more...
